ZIBOT (Intellibot) RACE: eto yung may mga obstacles. dapat iwasan. di ko alam kung ano ginawa nila sir loony at tin pero nanalo! (eh kasi naman yung robot ng mga taga-adamson sabi nang sabit hahaha) da best talaga UP sa last minute programming! astig!

CLASSIC: sorry na lang sa min, dinala ng PLM sa sheer number ang pagkapanalo (hehe bitter ako). 8 entries ba naman sa kanila. tas 2 lang sa UP Mobot. natanggal first round si raf tas well pagkatapos ata ng isa or dalawa pang round natanggal na rin si ferns so wala, wala na talaga.

all planned out, at least i thought so

years ago, my life was all planned out. take high school in four years (aba siempre dapat lang), take up ece and try not to go over the limit of the mrr (7.5 years), prepare for the board exams for a semester, get a job for two years, and due to my mother's insistence, take up an mba course.

just weeks ago, during a ym chat with our overseas adviser, the super unbreakable plan for my life was rattled. he suggested that me (and jop and elai) should take up on an MS study (and siempre comms na naman). i was, and still am, intrigued. i tried to ask advice from people and most of them told me to go for it.

well, too late to go for it next semester. i missed the deadline for the application for the MS program in up eee. i haven't even realized it passed by. me and my groupmates were busy slaving over the *dreaded* 198 final defense and were also busy putting up with that big headache of a labmate trying to ruin everything for us.

i haven't even talked to my mom about. i barely even talk to her about what i'm gonna do with my life at all. i haven't even been home enough to talk to anyone in the family about it. i'm sure she's not gonna be happy with the MS, but it's getting kinda appealing to me. sidetrack: our adviser sorta kinda *caught* us using that invisible stealth settings the geniuses in yahoo developed in their latest yahoo messenger version. hehe. we had a mini-conference and he was selling out this idea again. he even gave me the topic to work on for the MS *thesis*, darn it. haller, i haven't even made up my mind and he's suggesting about TinyOS already. I don't know what that is yet but knowing me and my darn obsessive-compulsive mind sometimes, i'm bound to check that out. and what the heck, bakit sa kin sinabi yang TinyOS na yan? nang-aasar ba siya? haha. =D (elai and the rest of my cotsmates said the future thesis should be titled TinaOS).

oh well. i still have the rest of the second semester and the summer to think about this. it's kinda hard to make decisions pag di ka sanay. it's kinda hard to be out in the real world when all your life you've been coddled way long enough (i blame carabellebelles for spoiling me hehehe). so many things come up to mind when times come that i just stare into nowhere and had to think of meaningful things. graduation? job? board exam? masters? acting like an adult?

shet, i realize i just wanna be a kid after all.



just when i thought it was all over...

[1] there's still that Zilog Microcontroller-Aided Design Contest where doc m was enthusiastic about our chances. the prize is what keeps me and the rest of my groupmates going, i guess. sana magawa na naman yang lecheng hyperterm na yan.

[2] there's still that whatever seminar on november where engineers and professors from other countries (i.e. japan) will go to UP and we have to present our project all over again. que horror! i told elai that since she's the *celebrity* of the group, she'd be the spokesperson haha. marunong naman siya mag-jap no. pag di na niya masagot yung tanong, magtagalog na lang siya.

[3] we have a deadline on monday, oct. 18. akala kasi naman automatic na pag kasama ka sa projects na binigyan ng grant ng zilog, kasama ka na sa open design contest. ang tangers namin hehe. so yun, gagawa na naman kami ng paper for zilog due on monday. ayoko nang buksan yung docu namin, pusanggala. ayaw na nga ng pc gumana pag naka-open yun eh.


on the other hand...

after a very sad weekend (the storm dropped game 1 to connecticut and the admu lady eagles lost to adamson in the thriller game 3 of the uaap finals), things this week have been going my way.

[1] despite the fact that the storm won game 2 because of an unexplainable open-shot miss by connecticut's nykesha sales, they did us fans proud as they played their hearts out this morning (or night dun sa seattle) and captured the 2004 wnba championship trophy. birdy, lj, sheri, b-money mvp, kv, tully, jb, adia, simmy, chelle, michelle greco and trina frierson. coach anne donnovan, the first woman to win a pro championship, and her assistants jessie kenlaw and jenny boucek. hail seattle storm! i love this team! =D [note: buti nga sa LA. sac monarchs are my second favorite team na].

[2] despite the fact that adamson is once again the uaap champion in uaap women's basketball, there's still that nagging joy at the back of my head knowing that the admu lady eagles lost it. kasi pag nanalo sila, di naunahan pa nila lady maroons makakuha ng championships. the UP lady maroons have been second twice [nung nanood ako]. sana next year, the rookie-laden team will be buffed up and give that team from marcelino a run for heir money. pero siempre, gagalaw pa rin ateneo and oh gosh, pati la salle. . lady maroons pa rin though. school spirit na ito.


[3] lea [up erg vp for int] planned the sem-ender party! yay! ya gotta give props to that girl. astig mag-ayos. we're gonna go to EK on friday (i forgot na may ek pala nagset pa naman ako ng overnight session with my thesismates) and then go to jayrald's *hacienda* (haha!) in batangas. or di pala, sa isang beach whatever. overnight doon then uwi morning after breakfast. ON THE OTHER HAND, elai and i will barely enjoy that, kasi after we arrive from batangas on saturday, we're going straight home to GET STUFF for an OVERNIGHT WORK SESSION again! we're gonna spend saturday and sunday nights doing the zilog final docu and the hyperterm thing. MAJOR BUMMER!

[4] MAGGIE [a.k.a. ariel - vp for sports and leisure] already had a meeting with the rest of the SNL groupies kanina. too bad i had to burn copies of the 198 docu while they were discussing. magpapaka-snl groupie ulit ako come enggweek. badtrip talaga nung term ko as snl vp, walang tambayan ang erg, and ang layo pa ng EEE my gash. kaya ayun, kaming 3 ni joeyboy (exec.vp that time) and bonggaceous elai the celebrity (vp for externals that time) ang parating sumasali sa events. mvp na nga eh. sa sobrang walang mahanap na members hirap talaga. hopefully this year's campaign will turn out better results than last year's. tintin L did a very beautiful job last year (although we fell behind *that *&^#*@#* other org* in the EWOC standings) and we made an impact on almost all of the major events. last december we showed the rest of the college that we're not to be ignored and that UP ERG is a force to reckon with. VOLLEYBAGAN, the guys played it all out but dropped at the semis though. pero our MIXED TEAM bagged the CHAMPIONSHIP so keri lang. INDAKAN, we got SECOND PLACE ata...astig kasi sila elai, oj, edgy at jay and the rest of the DanzERGs. AWITAN, ayoko nang ulitin nakakabwiset lang. we should have won. 'nuff said. i'd like them (elai, mamjoy, joeyboi, gidz and the rest of them) go all out and wow the audience this december. SMOKER'S NIGHT, erg managed to cough up a *decent* enough presentation and managed not to be booed nang malala (i think masaya nga yung crowd dun sa ginawa nila). SHET ENGG WEEK!!! Gusto ko mang-enggweek! Gusto kong mabawi yung second-place finish namin ni edward sa mixed table tennis two years ago. shux! Gusto ko magbasketball kasi najan si meiling at si mm (at si beng na 5'11" kung mauuto ko siya hehe panakot lang or pangiliti kay nikki). gusto kong magLOTR at HARRY POTTER Quiz Show! waaah!

[3] i'm hell bent on enrolling for the pe3 in basketball. haller, a class with nikki and june? that's kinda like a dream class. *memories from high school flooding in* *must stop it, tina, that was kinda 5+ years ago* hehehe. pero seriously, nadun si nikki doiks at si juneeeeee sama mo na pati si mm (batch 2k3 sa quesci) plus malamang ang aking beloved yellowteammates adi, LA, rhea, oya, cayin, gladys etc will be there so MASAYA di baaaaa? and it would be fun pag si mam ivy yung teacher. she was my first college PE prof (table tennis). =D shet, isa pang ang tagal na nun ah, 5 years ago demmit. need to grow up, tina!

[4] i'm hell bent on getting the longest sleeping time i can get habang pwede pa.

[5] i have to check some homeworks for eee41 tonight and di pa ko nagsisimula kasi ginagawa ko pa to. sana may sweldo naaaaa!

Tapos nun, the three of us had to wait in DMST for a cab so we could go to SM. Grabehnah...Nadito na ko sa UP and dito na naman ako uuwi tas pupunta kaming SM, which is so close to my totoong home. What a tease.

So yun pero Nikki had to go find her Mother Goose so Lowla and I pigged out on Sbarro again. Wahoo! Grabe first time in my life nag-full Ziti ako. I was 2 noodles shy of cleaning up my plate though. Have to work on that next time.

Messed-up Body CLock

If you think sleeping past 12midnight is bad, take a look at me. I can't sleep earlier than 3am! Argh! And last night, I went up to 4am just staring at the stupid ceiling in the room. Tuesday I was up at about 9am because Erol and Elai were talking about potential trouble regarding thesis presentation and then we stayed up until we had to present.

I am shamed to admit that for the first time ever, I dozed off while doing the mock presentation. ahaha. Sobrang antok di na kinaya ng powers namin. Si Dyopel lang ata nakatulog ng 1 hour sa min.

Toots, Elai and I plunked down on the 3rd floor Quiet Zone because we were so banged up. Kaya kami nadun kasi dun pa sa CEL 2 nagpepresent si Dave at si Ryan. Antagal ng mga delibs. Natapos delibs for Ryan, we got in CEL2 and we went to CS Canteen (where else? para maiba naman!) to get lunch.

We came back to CEL 2 pero napuno lang ng chismis at inis ang tanghali namin. *chismis na yun, wag na dito hahahaha*. Basta. Nagkagulo daw sa CEL1. Yun. So tinry ko matulog sa CEL 2. Si Toots umuwi sa dorm. Si Dyop at Elai nakatulog agad, walang pakialam sa mga dumadaan sa hallway na tumitingin sa min na para kaming mga isda sa loob ng aquarium. Si Erol akala ko umuwi pero nadun sa may bandang sink, tago, plakda din. Dumating ang 4pm, ayaw ko na, uwi na ko. Ako na lang natitirang gising a!

I told myself I was still okay. Nilakad ko pa nga mula EEE hanggang FC/AS eh. Pero pusanggala, di na kaya ng powers ko. Solusyon? TAXI! 15 minutes later nasa bahay na ko, nakapikit pero hyper pa rin sa kakatelebabad.

Slept from 5pm to 4am. Nagising ako momentarily ng 4am, went down to see where my cel phone was. Pusa nasa tabi ko lang naman pala. Grr. So balik ako sa bed. Nagising ako 12 noon na. Grabehnatoh, ang habaaaaa nun ah!

1pm tumawag si Elai, telling me that we had a 198 meeting regarding the presentation results. I told her I couldn't come kasi I didn't know na may meeting and that taong-bahay ako and also, that teeny-weeny fact na TINATAMAD akong lumabas ng bahay. Hehe.

Tas 4pm ata or something, she called again, asking me if I had the CC1000 Plug and Play module na sira. I turned my backpack over, wala din. We have to find that though. And then she delivered the news, pusanggala! Uno daw kami sa 198! Astig! Astig! Astig!

I know things are pretty going well for me, seeing that we already passed 198, I'm about to graduate, I'm thinking about an MS education for next sem, LA is out of the playoffs and Seattle is in. What more could I ever want huh?

Well, seems like when things really go well for you, some things come to bite you back. Shet. Pakshet talaga. Isang malutong na PAKSHET! A basta. Yun na yun.
