Storm ends the regular season on a high note...

...by beating the visiting Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury for the last game of the season (for them). The Mercs will miss the playoffs.

Birdy led the STORM with 20 points and 7 assists. LJ played half a game due to sore back. Hope she's okay coz playoffs...HERE WE COME! :D

Storm Locks 2nd Seed

...by defeating the Monarchs earlier at the Key, 76 - 63. The Storm currently stands at 19-14, one win away from matching last year's regular season w-l record. They also clinched the 2nd seed, just like last year.

4 starters scored in double digits and while LJ had a relatively quiet night (14pts 5 rebs - quiet relative to her standards), there was much love in the Key for her. :D

Seattle clinched a playoff berth this morning (or night, whatever) with a 78-51 win over mathematically-eliminated San Antonio Silver Stars.

Hell of a Weekend

Normally I'd start this over in my tabulas and then I'd just let the "post to Blogger" functionality there to do its work but I don't know what happened to me. I'm an obsessive-compulsive freak, and I literally have to do things according to a certain order. But well, maybe this is a start of me breaking away from that weird habit.

Anyway, I sense that the previous paragraph's never gonna get to anything with sense so I better cut it short. Onward to the following stuff.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BROs: JAKEY (yesterday) and JOEY (today).

The Storm lost to Sacramento last Sunday (or Saturday, whatever) by 10 points. LJ had a monster game, but Sue didn't play well (6 TO's to zero assists). Dayum!

ErgceLXXis 70!

Last Saturday, we held ErgceLXXis 70, UP ERG's Grand ERG Night and Alumni Homecoming for the 70th year celebrations. Late ako, as usual, kelan ba naman ako naging on time no? heeheehee.

So anyway, galing pa kasi ako ng office kasi may tinginingining na overtime kami pag Sabado. Sabi ko kay Joey 730 ako dadating. Heehee, 730 kakarating ko pa lang sa bahay at maliligo-magbibihis pa ko! Hahaha. Buti na lang hinarass ko ang nanay ko para ihatid ako sa Jade Valley.

Pagdating sa bahay, nanonood pala si Jake ng The GodFather 3 (tinanong ko kung bakit 3? Eh ampanget ng 3, ang sarap sipain ni Sophia Coppola doon). Eh sa wala daw yung 1 eh. Oo nga. Hanggang ngayon di ko pa rin alam kung sino ang humiram ng The GodFather 1 ko. Yun pa naman ang pinakagusto ko sa series na yun. FEZ! Nasa yo pa ata yun!

Telebabad with Lowla, kasalukuyang naghahapit sa sandamukmok niyang exam sa janjararaaaan...UP Law. Gudlak na lang, magbigay ka naman ng warning bago ka mabaliw ha? Anyway, nagpaalam akong kakain muna (kasi di ko na nga makakain yung kinontribute ko sa birthday ni Lea). Pero after 5 minutes, umuwi din si Inay. Hinarang ko pa sa gate para wag na pumasok at aalis ako. Kaya lang inantok talaga ako at naasar pa si Lowla sa kin kasi yung supposed to be 15-minute nap niya ay pinutol ko at inistorbo ko siya :D hahaha. Kawawang nilalang.

So di na nga lang ako tumuloy.

Lamon, lamon, lamon. Mabait silang lahat sa kin. Kahit si Demon na umaandar na naman ang pagiging demonyo. Sana araw-araw na lang siyang tulog. Wala naman siyang silbi kundi manira ng araw ng mga tao.

Past 1 na ko nakatulog. Wala naman akong ginawa na kundi pumlakda sa kama ko at matulog. Pero que horror, 8AM na ko nagising at gusto kong habulin yung 9AM na pasok dapat para mas maraming OT (yak, ano ba tong lifestyle na to?) pero no, 950AM na ko nakarating. Pfft!

May pinapaDebug na naman sa kin. Hohummm.... Ang sakit ng mata ko na. Ewan ko ba, ang tagal naman ng tulog ko. Buti di na ko umalis kagabi. 2AM na daw sila umuwi. Hala, goodluck na lang talaga.

Hay oh well...

Sa thursday na lang nga ako pupunta ng DFA para sa passport na yan. Tinatamad pa ko bukas eh. Hai. Tsaka maaga pala ko aalis bukas. So di pwedeng magpapalate ako ng sobra bukas tas maaga rin ako aalis. Ayaw ko mag-undertime.

Mamaya na nga lang ulit. Nagmamaganda na naman tong Pocket PC ko.

nagising ako ng 4am. amp. talo pa, and by 3 F-ing points. Birdy should've sunk that three to tie the game and force the comets into overtime. hay, tied na ulit second with 16-13, and with the season series also tied at 2-2. the only advantage we have over them now is that we are ahead of them in west conference record (sea 9-8, hou 8-9). so kung ngayon yung playoffs, we've got home court advantage, which is a very good thing kasi the storm is unstoppable at home (and horrendous on the road).

i hate nailbiter games.

the nonfighting maroons lost steam after forcing ust into overtime yesterday. they went scoreless for most of the OT. ika nga ni coach lito, "sana pinatalo niyo na lang kanina (regulation) kung ganyan din naman pala attitude niyo sa overtime." up's shooting was crap. the defense was even crappier.

i hate monday mornings.

I recently discovered this site through my brother Jake. It was the kind of text-based RPG that you won't find yourself icky when you play. As a matter of fact, it is so dayum hilarious!

The What is KoL? page details what this RPG is all about. Six intoxicating character classes to choose from: [1] Seal Clubbers, [2] The Accordion Thief, [3] The Sauceror, [4] The PastaMancer, [5] Turtle Tamer, and [6]The Disco Bandit.

I'm three-days-old in the world of KoL and well, I just can't stop playing. I can't compare it to other RPGs, like Kings of Chaos, for example. KoC, for one, has a serious theme and a text-based game that has their site richly designed. Not I can compare this to Utopia (one of the best RPGs in the world). KoL is a simple RPG aimed to tickle your funny bones and amuse you with "undead elbow macaronis" and "saber-toothed limes".

You know, games like this one is something I need whenever the Storm loses (already in a 2-game loss streak currently) and/or whenever the UP maroons drop a heartbreaker (that game against FEU was well-played eventhough we lost) and/or whenever the Lady Maroons come up short against Ateneo (again).

KoL is really cool. Try it.

During that loss to the Liberty, LJ got 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks, while Birdy got a double double with 12 points and 10 ASSISTS. Too bad it wasn't enough to carry the whole team when the Libs were shooting the lights out in Madison Square Garden.

On the plus side, LJ is leading the MVP race (I just hope they give it to her this season instead of Sheryl Swoopes just because she's one of the ledges). LJ is tied for first in Regular Season PPG (18.0) with Swoopes and LA SpOrk Chamique Holdsclaw. She is currently 2nd in Rebounds (9.2) behind Cheryl Ford's (DET) 10.0. She's behind Ford in Offensive Rebounds (3.1) and third in Defensive Rebounds (6.0). Etc, etc.

Sue Bird, on the other hand, is poised to win this year's Assists Title as she is currently leading in Regular Season Ast/G with 6.0. Lindsay Whalen (CT) and rookie Temeka Johnson of Washington share 2nd place with 5.3 assists per game.

Hope they get those awards this season.
