I'm in a dilemma. Pasko na naman kasi eh. Ang hirap mag-isip ng mga gifts-gifts eklavoo eh. Oh well. There was this pair of sneakers in ghills and I would've bought 'em kung may pera lang ako kanina haha. Oh well, baka naman sapukin na ko ng nanay ko no. Tama na muna yang kaaddictan sa mga tsinelas. Nakakainis lang kasi, you buy a pair for something like two thousand pesosesoses in the mall and when you go to Greenhills, you find a pair exactly like your own and that pair costs only a couple hundred bucks! Darn! Got myself some new shades haha. Mother didn't argue when I asked for money lolz. But then again, I splurged it all on socks and cellphone casing and a kiddie soccer jersey of Barcelona. Haha. Sana England na lang yung kinuha ko lolz.

We got home at around 4pm and I just dropped on my bed, literally. I woke up siguro around 8pm na yun. I remember I was even talking to someone on the phone while half-asleep haha. Sorry lowla, sabogers lang po ako. :D

2/3 today. we lost in our first ever volleybagan game against alchemes pero i'm not so down na unlike the past years na sobrang OA na depressed talaga ko. haha in the first place i don't really wanna play volleyball anymore. unang-unang sumira ng katinuan ko yan. i'd rather play basketball na lang. (oh, which reminds me na in order to enjoy tomorrow's PE session, i will have to study haha RULE NUMBER THREE: OFFICIATING)

didn't sleep in the house for two nights in a row. pero umuwi naman ako no haha. :D saturday night, talent show ng probies-turned-members ng erg. pakshet ang layo at ang hirap pumunta haha (eh hindi naman ako ngdrive so natulog na lang kami ni alan habang kami'y kasalukuyang naliligaw) pero in fairness ha, ang ganda naman talaga nung place. as in. ang ganda ng pool, ang ganda ng bahay. pakshet i couldn't swim... coz, *drumroll* i have...pakshet. kainis pa to si ariel sabi niya he has din daw haha. well anyway, siempre tradition na na pagtiyagaan na lang ang talent show kahit sobrang olats naman talaga nung pinrepare nila. oh well, at least madaming food di ba? di kagaya two talent shows ago, bopis lang ang pagkain pakshet eh hindi pa naman ako kumakain ng bopis. i ended up throwing up bits of skittles at the sink after i gulped down a fairly huge amount of alcohol.

anyway, so yun, movie marathon na lang kami. when we got there, leapot and anncute and raf and marz and ariel and etc were wathing LOVE STORY (hehehe lowla, pramis i will find you a copy). di ko nasimulan kaya hindi ko nafeel. after the talent show ariel and i promoted MY SASSY GIRL ahaha siempre watch kami. in the middle of my sassy girl, i found myself trudging towards the table where the seemingly harmless orange juice stood waiting. hahaha so i took one plastic baso-full of the juice. lolz ang tapaaaaaaaaaaaaanggggg....isang baso and i was already groggy while watching my sassy girl... hehehe and siempre mejo nawala na tama so i got another baso again haha pero tama na hanggang second glass na lang talaga. lolz. anyway fast forward na nga. basta hindi ako natulog sa kakamovie marathon napanood ko tuloy pati bulletproof monk tsaka freaky friday. ang cute ng freaky friday so high school na movie. :D

tas last night overnight chuvaloo kami ni joeyboi at helain gamboa sa eee to do the abstract thingie. sa awa ng May-Kapal, okay naman daw may idadagdag lang na stuff na hindi ko mahanap ngayon kahit gaano kagaling ang Google so yun. tas walaaaaaang tubig!!! ang resulta after ng ece113 pa kami nakaligo ni elay.

on to 113 stuff. buti na lang as in buti na lang gumana na ng mga 4pm yung protoboard setup namin. haha. dami pa rin kasi di nakapagpagana 6pm na nung umalis ako eh. oh well.

haay saka na ulit. mejo sumasakit chest ko. sana wala lang to. sana stress lang to. sana inarte lang to kasi hindi ako natulog sa kama ko kagabi haaha. sige pow!

My Sassy Girl

My Sassy Girl" is based on an on-line serial written by Kim Ho-sik that detailed his relationship with his off-the-wall college girlfriend. This was eventually compiled into a best-selling book and caught the attention of director Kwak Jae-young, who wrote the script for the film. The story kicks off with college student Kyun-woo (Korean pop singer Cha Tae-hyun, in his feature film debut) crossing paths with a drunk girl (Jun Ji-hyun of "Il Mare") on a late-night subway. Just before she passes out, the girl looks at Kyun-woo and calls him 'honey'. The other passengers, assuming him to be the hapless girl's boyfriend, demand that Kyun-woo look after her. After carrying her on his back for what seems to be miles, Kyun-woo drops the girl off at a motel. But instead of leaving her and getting on his way, Kyun-woo finds himself intrigued by the nameless girl and vows to do whatever he can to heal her sorrow.

Unfortunately, he gets far more than he bargained as he becomes wrapped around the finger of this strange girl, whose dramatic mood swings are outmatched only by her penchant for sociopathic behavior. When they dine out and Kyung-woo orders anything but coffee, she barks her mantra "Do you wanna die?" and then promptly changes his order to coffee. When her feet begin aching from walking, she forces Kyung-woo to switch his comfortable running shoes for her high heels. And being a budding screenwriter, she demands that Kyung-woo read her wacky treatments, or else face an ass kicking. However, despite these crazy antics (not to mention landing in jail a few times), Kyun-woo finds himself hopelessly hooked on this 'sassy girl'. And though the girl seems to relish in humiliating and belittling those around her, it becomes clear that underneath the brash exterior is a wounded soul who holds a genuine affection for Kyun-woo.

This cleverly scripted comedy covers a lot of territory in its two-hour running time, containing enough material for at least two movies. The film's first half (a fact that is irreverently highlighted with a big bold pastel-colored title) deals with Kyung-woo's initial misadventures with the 'sassy girl' and the absurdity he faces in her company. In addition to the obvious comic set-pieces revolving around the girl's anti-social tendencies, Kwak has some fun visualizing her female-centered film treatments, such as "Terminator Demolitionist", featuring a female warrior from the future gunning down bad guys à la "The Matrix". Another great gag has Kyung-woo being instructed to drop off her treatment at Shin Cine (the production company behind "My Sassy Girl") and making the suggestion that Han Suk-yu and Shim Eun-ha be cast in the lead roles (for the uninitiated, they are two top Korean box office draws who appeared together in "Christmas in August" and "Tell Me Something").

However, as the film moves into its second half (declared with more pastel-colored lettering) and even overtime (check), the bottled-up emotions and vulnerable side of the 'sassy girl' start to reveal themselves, and the film moves into more melodramatic territory, reflecting the growing maturity of the two lead characters. The film even takes a riff from the ever-popular 'love across time' genre (which includes "Ditto", "Failan", and "Il Mare") as the would-be lovers spend some time apart and are reunited by an unexpected and clever plot twist. Despite the more serious mood of this latter half, Kwak manages to avoid the melancholic overkill that permeates the typical Korean romance, while still providing a good enough emotional footing for the story.

If there is one really good reason to watch "My Sassy Girl", it would have to be Jun Ji-hyun's turn as the film's unnamed heroine. From her unforgettable first appearance as a wasted commuter, to her rambunctious bullying of Kyun-woo, to the heartbreak she wears on her sleeve, Jun displays an unparalleled level of enthusiasm and dramatic range in portraying a young woman whose domineering exterior is but a smokescreen for her own vulnerability-- it is almost difficult to believe that this same actress who played the quiet and introspective Kim Eun-ju in "Il Mare". As her opposite, the likable Cha Tae-hyun is the perfect comic foil/underdog for Jun's bundle of untamed energy, and his 'constipated' facial expression, when faced with one of her 'outbursts', is priceless.

Like the best Korean films, "My Sassy Girl" is a genre-bending exercise that throws in elements of the teen comedy, the traditional melodramatic romance, and even some genre parody and blends them into a unique cinematic experience that defies categorization. The film's original Korean title, Yeopgi, which means 'novelty-seeking', is in reference to the youth craze that was started by Kim Ho-sik's original Internet postings about his eccentric girlfriend. Though the English title for this film doesn't mean quite the same thing, it certainly does tell you what to expect.

the start of my day was pretty uneventful-except for the fact that i was supposed to bring my mom over to malolos to go to the optal family there. for some reasons they chose to situate their clinic there. but then again, okay lang kasi dali lang naman papunta dun.

and siguro nakita niyang sasabog-sabog ako, she didn't let me drive. apparently she'll never let me hold the steering wheel when she can drive. so why would i argue? isang hour din ng sleep yun no. what really ticks me off is her annoying habit of using her cellphone while driving. as in hindi yung sasagot lang siya. siya pa talaga tatawag. blech ang hirap magpalaki ng magulang.

my mom has close-angle glaucoma or something like that. it's her right eye. dun sa eye na yun gitna na lang may vision siya. ang scary nga eh. the eye doctors told her last night that she needed laser eye surgery thing. pero when we got there in malolos, the doc there didn't think it would work just yet for her case. so we bought the medicine na lang. after we got out of the clinic, i volunteered to drive, unaware of the stupid nonmoving traffic waiting for me just after the bridge that links guiguinto (tama ba? basta yung galing sa kabilang side) to tabang plaridel. ang olats talaga! spent more than 20 minutes there hanggang sa makaliko na ko sa rocka complex at tumigil sa tapat ng bahay namin...only to find out na aalis na kami. nag-iwan lang ng allowance si inay kay lola dun.

and back to nlex. from sta. rita to malolos exit, okay pa....pero from malolos, hell na talaga. tumuloy-tuloy hanggang bocaue bwiset...ang sakit ng tuhod ko!!! and mejo lumuwag na....tas eto na naman tong navigator ko ayaw mag-edsa kasi nakita niya daw na panget sitwasyon so diretso a. boni kami peste ang daming truck! siempre traffic forever!

after almost two hours in hot sweltering traffic, she dropped me off sa kanto and i trudged up to the gate bearing my books and wallet and what appeared to be the food that i have been craving since the other day. lolz. ang laki ng ensaymada ng eurobake pramis. next time sana makabalik kami nang araw dun para i get to buy another pa. haha

home na and my head was splitting into two. pesteng sakit ng ulo na yan oo. eh kasi naman, ako na nga nagdrive nung pauwi, napagtripan pa ni SCRATCH na magoverheat bwiset talaga siya. so yun i was drenched in sweat but i couldn't take a bath kasi nagweweirdo na naman yung tuhod ko. and peste talaga feeling ko magkacramps ako kanina ang sakit pag magkaclutch. hay. so yun, headache and carabelles touched my neck, she said may sinat daw ako. peste lahat na lang. i promised her pa naman na samahan ko siya sa uste tomorrow para sa entrance exams niya. natuwa ang bata. eh kasi naman kung si demon ang sumama diyan ano na lang mangyayari di ba? baka the moment they set foot on dominican soil, bigla siyang iabandon nung mokong no.

i'm here in CEL.just got back from the world premier of MATRIX REVOLUTIONS. ala lang. won't post na lang muna my thoughts dito di ba? para naman sa kapakanan ng mga taong hindi pa nakakanood. didn't like the ending though, machines lang pinakita eh. sana may about humans din. basta yun.

anyway, there's this thing about balancing equations in the movie and drat oh drat, bakit ba dun na naman pupunta? magmomovie ka nga eh tas acads pa rin pakshet naman. oh well. let's just say something is gonna cancel out something to balance the equation. something cannot be alive while the other one is not. yun. yun na yun. watch matrix revolutions, astig the fight scenes though mam joy and i thought that yuen wo ping (tama ba?) should have thought of other styles sa choreography nung mga fight scenes....pero well, ganun tlaga...astig the final fight scene. wala akong masabi sa fight scenes da best. and trinity is so astig in that leather outfit of hers. haha. oh well. dash it na lang muna baka marami akong maspill...hehehe..

no scary stuff this year. was stupidly angry last night, kaya wala akong chance na matakot sa kung ano-anong kwentong gustong ipalabas ng magandang gabi bayan. also, hindi rin pala ko nanood ng MGB. haha. watched seventh heaven instead.lolz

another movie i should've watched sa big screen pero hindi ko ginawa. olats ako eh. ang ganda pala niya. ala-charlie's angels with a better story i may say. that girl (the older one, the one who gets to be in the fighting mode all the time) kicks ass! wawa naman yung younger sister niya. pero well, kasalanan naman talaga ni younger sis kung bakit in the first place hinabol na siya ng pulis (with karen mok) nung huli. ayun, namatay tuloy si ate nung dulo. wawa naman. ang ganda pa ng story.

hay, why do i always end up symphatizing with these assassins (or mafia guys) after i watch some movie with them (or read a book)? sus.

better post some chuva about this movie. i wanna see it again. lolz. buti na lang timo (d cousin) didn't rent the mothman prophecies nung 31 kundi naku talaga...buti na lang SO CLOSE yung kinuha niya hahaha.
